Schedule an Intake

Here are the steps to meeting your new wellness advocate!

1. Schedule Your Intake Session

Get started on your health journey by booking an Intake Session, or "discovery call," with our Client Care Coordinator, Lorin Cheung. This easy first step eliminates the need for back-and-forth emails or calls, quickly addressing your questions and arranging your first appointment with one of our dietitians. You can choose to connect through a Google Meet video conference or a traditional phone call—whatever suits you best. When booking online, please provide your insurance details so we can verify your coverage in advance.

2. Verification of Your Insurance

Health insurance can be confusing, so we simplify the process by verifying your insurance benefits for you! Using the insurance information you provide at scheduling, we'll confirm your coverage for nutrition counseling before your intake session. This allows Lorin to verify your coverage details during the call, ensuring you understand what appointments will be covered—many of our clients enjoy unlimited nutrition appointments with zero out-of-pocket costs. You’ll also receive a copy of the verification results via email for your records.

3. Time for your Intake Session

During this 15-20 minute phone or video call, Lorin will discuss you or your child's health goals and specific needs. This conversation helps us understand which of our dietitians can best support your health journey. Lorin will also provide detailed information about our practice philosophy, the services we offer and confirm your insurance benefits. After addressing any questions you might have, she will help you schedule your initial consultation with the right practitioner for your needs.

4. Meet Your New Wellness Advocate!

It’s time to get started! In a thorough 75-90 minute initial consultation, either you, or you and your child, will meet with your new Registered Dietitian. During this session, your RD will gather a comprehensive medical, psychological, and lifestyle history to fully understand your health needs. This in-depth assessment helps in developing a personalized treatment plan. Additionally, your RD will collaborate with you to schedule follow-up visits, ensuring continuous support and adjustment of your goals and plan as needed.
