As the clinical supervisor at Karuna Wellness Studio Naima provides administrative and clinical support to Karuna’s team of Registered Dietitians, ensuring that they have what’s needed to provide quality, compassionate care. She has over a decade of experience helping individuals, families, and communities better their health through food. Naima is an anti-diet, HAES®-aligned dietitian and helps people from all walks of life heal from disordered eating, chronic dieting, emotional eating, and binge eating. For adults with past food trauma, Naima creates a safe and welcoming space to explore the concept of feeding your inner child, an opportunity for healing and discovery as you re-learn to nourish your body with love and acceptance.

Naima has a special interest in family feeding with a focus on eating disorder prevention and helping children develop a positive relationship with food and their bodies. She supports children and families struggling with selective (“picky”) eating and ARFID as well as growth, development, and weight concerns. Her responsive approach is rooted in acceptance and child-led exploration. She empowers parents with practical strategies to create a positive space for nourishing and joyful family meals.

Formerly a professional dancer, Naima holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance and a Master of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics, both from New York University. She completed a rigorous dietetic internship at New York-Presbyterian Hospital. She has experience leading community food and nutrition programs throughout New York City and worked as a cook and culinary instructor at Integral Yoga Institute. Naima is also a Master Composter and loves to find ways to make her kitchen and garden more sustainable. When not working, Naima enjoys gardening, exploring the outdoors, and relaxing at home with her family and dog, Bailey.
